Privacy Policy

What information we collect from you. 
 
When you place an Order with Worcester Search & Scent Limited to provide services for you and your pet(s), we will create a client record for you in Pet Sitter Plus, and ask you to complete the relevant sections in “Your Data” in the Client Portal, including your contact details and information regarding your pet(s). You may also be required to sign an Agreement.
 
Your personal details are collected so that we can contact you for the following reasons only:

 

  • As a Client, we require your personal information to provide services to you, attend your home to collect/return your pet(s) and to invoice you.

  • To inform you of a cancellation to a service or class/workshop/training session, adverse weather conditions or any other last minute problem that means that a scheduled service or class/workshop/training session needs to be cancelled.

  • To inform you of any changes to your Order or requested services.

  • To send you a newsletter approximately every 2-3 months with news about new services and classes/workshops that may be of interest to you. 

 
How your data is stored
 

  • Agreements are kept by us in a folder that is taken to each class and in between classes this is stored in a locked case or cabinet. In transit, these forms are kept with the Instructor and not left unattended.

  • Website booking forms are kept by us in a folder that is taken to each class and is kept with the Instructor and not left unattended. In transit, these forms are kept with the Instructor and not left unattended.

  • If you stop attending classes or no longer require our services, your forms will be stored in a locked case or cabinet for seven years and then shredded. 

  • Email addresses and telephone numbers are kept by us within your client record and are accessible on a tablet and/or smartphone which are password protected.

  • We keep emails sent by you to us and by us to you for our records, but we do not share these with any third party.

 
Sharing of data

 
Your contact details and your personal data is only seen by our representatives. They access this via our database where the data is stored and encrypted on the amazon data services platform. The system is password protected.
 
After 25th May 2018, you will be able to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we’ve collected about you.

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data you provided for our products and services.

  • Request that we stop sending you marketing messages. 

  • Ask that we stop using your personal data for certain purposes, or for a period of time.

  • Ask that we amend or delete your personal data.

  • If we ask for consent to process your personal data, you can later withdraw your consent.

  • At any time you can change your preferences in our mailing platform and unsubscribe to our mailing list.

 
Data Breaches
 
Data breaches such as theft of files, tablets or mobile phones will be treated seriously and remedied as soon as possible.  You would be informed as soon as any data breach is discovered; and, if required, this would be reported to the Office of the Information Commissioner.
